Meet Our Team

Dr. Dale Alto

Dr. Dale Alto was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan for his undergraduate studies graduating with a B.S. in Biology. Following this, he was accepted into dental school at The University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he obtained his DDS. While in dental school Dr. Alto decided to pursue a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery and following dental school was accepted into residency at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. During his residency, Dr. Alto was trained in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with clinical emphasis on facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, pediatric anesthesia, and dental implantology. His research projects during residency included a comparison of the outcomes of mandible fractures using different post-operative rehabilitation techniques and a new technique to reconstruct facial defects following neurosurgical procedures.

Following completion of his residency Dr. Alto entered private practice in Colorado. Dr. Alto practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with emphasis on dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, pediatric anesthesia, orthognathic surgery and facial trauma.

Dr. Alto is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Colorado Springs Dental Society. He is on staff at all Colorado Springs hospitals. Dr. Alto's certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Outside of practice, Dr. Alto enjoys biking, running, tennis, golf, and snowboarding. He feels fortunate to live in Colorado Springs and enjoys the outdoor opportunities that it offers.

Staff

Cyndi, our Surgical Assistant and Patient Coordinator, is a Colorado Springs Native and attended college in Durango at Fort Lewis College. She started working here at Affiliates in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery during summer breaks in high school. She enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and loves life!

Lisa, our Lead Surgical Assistant, transplanted from England in 1999. She attended college at Yorkshire Coast College in Scarborough, England. She has been with Affiliates in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since February 2007. She also has two beautiful daughters that keep her on her toes!

Dena, our Office Manager, moved to Colorado Springs from Guam in 2007. She attended college at the University of Guam and has been with Affiliates in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since September 2008.  She enjoys all that Colorado has to offer with her daughter and son!
